Pipeline Alarm Management Webinars

The Pipeline industry in the U.S. must now implement practices and technology to achieve compliance with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) regulation, “49 CFR Parts 192 and 195 - Pipeline Safety: Control Room Management / Human Factors.”

This regulation is relatively straightforward, with similar provisions for both the gas and liquid pipeline sections. Pipeline companies who fall under this regulation are required by sections 49 CFR Parts 192 And 195 to have an implementation plan for alarm management no later than August 1, 2011 and implement the procedures no later than August 1, 2012. In the regulation, PHMSA also incorporates American Petroleum Institute (API) recommended practices 1165 and 1168, which are the recommended practices for Pipeline SCADA Displays and Pipeline Control Room Management.

Join us for the Pipeline Alarm Management webinar, hosted by Mark Tibbitts, which discusses how to achieve efficient, cost-effective, and documented compliance with the PHMSA regulation in the following aspects: Creating an Alarm Management Plan, Performing a Documentation & Rationalization Project, Monitoring Alarm System Performance, Analyzing Controller Alarm Loading, and Performing Baseline Assessments.

The dates and times for the upcoming "PHMSA Pipeline Alarm Management & API RP-1167 Compliance" webinars are as follows:
